ITC has played a key role in this development by positioning itself as a business partner in the Spanish ceramic cluster network, a network mainly comprising SMEs, which makes it difficult for them to generate the technology that, obtained either from undertaking the necessary R&D actions or transferred from other branches to the ceramic sector, is capable of providing new, socially useful products at competitive prices.
ITC is immersed in a process of change involving its entire structure. Thus, the already completed merger with Alicer, today ITC’s Area for Design and Architecture, has been followed by the creation and development of a wide-ranging Ceramic Observatory based on three cornerstones: the Market Observatory, the Technology and Environment Observatory, and the Habitat Trends Observatory.
