Reducing inequalities

Our work at the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC)We strive to promote SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, by seeking to create a more inclusive environment both within the ceramics industry and in other related sectors. Innovation and technology transfer play a key role in reducing inequalities by ensuring that technological solutions and advances reach all economic actors, regardless of their size or geographical location.

Equitable access to technology and innovation

Our role in the research and development of sustainable technologies allows companies, especially small and medium-sized ones, to access innovative solutions that might otherwise be out of their reach. This translates into a narrowing of the technological gap between large and small companies, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to improve their productivity and competitiveness. We promote inclusive digititalizationby facilitating the adoption of new technologies by companies of all sizes, and contributing to equal opportunities in access to innovation.

Skills development and inclusive training.

Our efforts to reduce inequality also focus on  training  vulnerable professionals, workers and communities. Through education and training programs, we provide individuals with the skills necessary to access quality jobs in technological and industrial sectors. This approach not only helps to reduce employment gaps, but also enables people to improve their employability and economic well-being.

Support for vulnerable communities and disadvantaged areas

We firmly believe that economic development should be inclusive , and that is why we promote projects and collaborations that favor communities with less access to resources. This includes the implementation of  technological solutions  that favor  sustainability  and help overcome the challenges specific to these environments, such as the lack of adequate infrastructure. Similarly, our participation in social responsibility projects is aligned with this objective, supporting groups at risk of social exclusion and ensuring that they can benefit from the opportunities that innovation offers.

Promotion of gender equality and social inclusion

The ITC is also committed to reducing gender inequalities within the industrial and technological sphere, promoting the empowerment of women in fields traditionally dominated by men. By promoting female leadership and creating an inclusive environment, we aim to ensure that all people, regardless of gender, have the same opportunities for professional growth in key sectors. In addition, we implement labor practices that guarantee equal treatment, promoting a fair environment for both women and men.

Innovation serving equality

Finally, we strive to ensure that our  innovation projects not only have an economic impact, but also serve as tools for social change. Through the creation of accessible technological solutions and the implementation of sustainable business models, we seek to contribute to a more equitable society, where inequalities are not an obstacle to the development and well-being of people.

By means of all these actions, the ITC is committed to reducing inequalities and creating a future in which everyone has access to the same opportunities, regardless of their origin or circumstances.
