Our work at the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC) We have undertaken a number of initiatives that contribute to  SDG 5: Gender Equality, both internally and in collaboration with other organisations.We are committed to equality and the recognition of female talent in all areas in which we work. 

Supporting research into women's health

We join the fight against breast cancer through our participation in the solidarity march “A Walk through Life”, organized by the Le Cadó Foundation, contributing to the financing of research projects on this pathology.
 In addition, we promote fundraising through the sale of T-shirts, proceeds from which support different studies such as:

• “Breast cancer in young women under 35” at the Hospital Clínico de Valencia.
• “Benefits of a physical conditioning program in women with breast cancer (BAFC)”, in collaboration with Universitat Jaume I and the Hospital Provincial de Castellón.
• “Breast cancer and the desire to be a mother” (EMBARCAM), a GEICAM initiative to support women with breast cancer who wish to become mothers.

Promoting equality in the workplace

We promote a working environment where women are present in various technical and research fields. We value female talent and believe in the importance of leadership, as reflected in the fact that Yolanda is in charge of ITC, which reinforces our committment to gender equality   

Actions to raise awareness and social impact

As part of our commitment to equality, we plan monthly actions aligned with the SDGs and international days,, including initiatives that promote gender equality.
Within these actions, we work on specific proposals for key dates such as  International Women's Day (March 8)  or   the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (November 25)..

Integration of the gender perspective in innovation and technology transfer projects

Our projects seek to reduce gender gaps in traditionally male-dominated industrial and technological sectors..
At ITC, we promote technology transfer with an inclusive vision,fostering innovative solutions that benefit women and men equally within industry.

We continue to move forward to make gender equality a reality, inside and outside the ITC.
