Our work at the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC) We aim to promote Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth   by promoting technological innovation and sustainability in industry, which facilitates the creation of quality employment and fosters economic development. Through our research and technology transfer projects, we seek to improve the competitiveness of companies, supporting their growth and ensuring that this growth leads to decent employment and better working conditions for all.

Promoting competitiveness and innovation

We develop advanced technological solutions that enable companies to increase their efficiency and sustainability. This not only contributes to the economic growth of the sectors in which we work, but also generates new employment opportunities and encourages the creation of specialized, quality jobs.
Using knowledge transfer and implementing new technologies, we support companies in their digitization process and in the adoption of more innovative and sustainable practices.

Generation of quality employment

We promote job creation in key sectors for the economy, such as the ceramics industry and other productive areas. Our focus is on generating decent jobs, with fair working conditions, job security and opportunities for professional development.
  In addition, we promote equal opportunities, ensuring that all people, regardless of gender or social status, have access to these jobs and can access continuous training to improve their skills and competencies.

Promotion of local and regional economic development

Our participation in projects funded by institutions such as IVACE and our collaboration with different organizations and companies strengthens the local and regional economy. We focus on promoting sustainable economic growth,  reducingproductivity gaps and ensuring that the benefits of innovation and development reach all parts of the business community, including small and medium-sized enterprises.
  With every action we take, we seek to generate a positive impact that drives not only economic growth, but also an equitable distribution of the benefits of that growth.
