InOutNano, we have developed an experimental methodology to determine the concentration of ultrafine particles in the environment. These particles are less than 100 nm in size. For this purpose, the ITC has scientific equipment that makes it possible to determine concentration levels in the range of 4 nm to 2.5 µm.
The established methodology will be applied in industrial parks and port environments in order to determine the impact of this type of particulate matter on air quality. The emission of ultrafine particles is mainly associated with the presence of highly energetic processes, both thermal and mechanical.
Finally, it will be possible to propose control tools based on those prediction models that, during the development of the project, prove to be the most suitable for the control of the emission and/or exposure to ultrafine particles.
