Current building construction pursues practically zero energy consumption and there is an increasing demand for respect for the environment in urban settings, with increasingly sustainable green zones and spaces being created in the city. ITC is therefore researching, developing, and obtaining products, materials, and systems designed to enhance energy efficiency, using ceramics as highly suitable material in construction solutions, e.g. for thermal and acoustic insulation, energy storage and production, implementation of renewable energies such as geothermal energy, among others, and the development of evaporative cooling systems in buildings, as well as other ceramic systems with improved properties to achieve sustainable construction.
